City Future Plans

Comprehensive Plan

The Comprehensive Plan contains: maps, standards, guidelines, and policy statements. It is the official long-range and comprehensive guide for growth and development in the City.

MainStreet Project Area

The MainStreet Design Standards document establishes the City’s vision for a mixed-use, downtown development in the center of Coconut Creek, bound by Wiles Road to the north, Lyons Road to the east, Sample Road to the south, and State Road 7 to the west. The intent of this document is to provide for the development of a sustainable, mixed-use downtown environment.

Hillsboro Boulevard Corridor

The City of Coconut Creek, in partnership with the Broward County Parks and Recreation Department, is undertaking a visioning initiative to create a common vision for Hillsboro Boulevard. As part of this initiative the City has retained Dorsky + Yue International Architects as a consultant who will create a Vision Plan for the corridor. This Vision Plan shall not only focus on economic development along the corridor, but also showcase the existing environmental preserve areas along and around Hillsboro Boulevard.

City Green Plan

The City Green Plan is a document that establishes a framework for achieving environmental leadership with the adoption of a City green image, the identification of environmental themes, a range of action steps, and a method for annual monitoring.

City Trailways Master Plan

The City Trailways Master Plan develops a citywide trail network of safe, clean, pedestrian, bicycle and equestrian paths and nature trails. The system will provide opportunities for recreation, restoration and enhancement of native vegetation and wildlife habitat, and alternative modes of transportation.
