Coconut Creek Fire Rescue Welcomes New Engine 50

On April 15, Coconut Creek Fire Rescue proudly hosted a traditional Push-In Ceremony at Fire Station 50 to celebrate the arrival of its newest apparatus—Engine 50. This cutting-edge fire engine is built for strength and reliability, featuring a 450-horsepower engine similar to those found in high-performance vehicles like the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. Engine 50 is well-equipped to meet the demands of emergency response. It holds 1,000 gallons of water—enough to fill a large backyard pool—and includes 2,250 feet of hose, long enough to stretch across more than seven football fields. We extend our sincere thanks to the City Commission and staff for their continued support in strengthening our fire rescue services. The previous Engine 50 will now join the department’s reserve fleet, ready to respond when called upon.

In an emergency dial 9-1-1

Calling 9-1-1 should only be for true emergencies.

An emergency is any situation that requires immediate assistance from fire, law enforcement, and EMS.

A non-emergency call request for service from fire, law enforcement, and EMS is any situation that is not life threatening.

Using the non-emergency number 954-346-4400 ensures 9-1-1 lines are available for emergency calls.
