Election Information

March 11, 2025, Municipal Election Information

A Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, to elect City Commission members to Districts B, C, and E, for a four-year term of office ending in March 2029.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be a qualified voter, who have been primarily domiciled in the district for which he/she has filed to run for a minimum of twelve (12) months prior to filing as a candidate for office.

Candidates will need to execute and deliver to the City Clerk an affidavit of primary domicile and provide two (2) proofs of identification verifying the address of domicile, either a Florida Driver’s License or Florida State Identification Card, plus an electric bill or water bill, or other evidence of address. 

Candidates must remain primarily domiciled in the district in which he/she is elected for the full term of office. 

Qualifying and Assessment Fees:

The candidate Municipal Qualifying Fee is $125.00 and the State Election Assessment is 1% of the salary of a City Commissioner.

The Qualifying Period for the March 11, 2025 City of Coconut Creek Municipal Election begins at noon on Thursday, January 2, 2025, and ends at noon on Thursday, January 9, 2025. City Hall is closed on Friday, January 3, 2025.

Please be advised that City Hall is closed on Fridays and on holidays observed by the City. City Hall hours of operation are 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST Monday - Thursday. Appointments are recommended.

Voting in the City is at large, which means that all qualified voters of the City whose names appear in the Broward County Supervisor of Elections registration books are eligible to vote.

Early voting is NOT available for this election.

Due to recent changes in Florida law, all requests for vote-by-mail ballots expired at the end of 2022. Therefore, any request on file has expired. If you want to continue voting by mail, please submit your request today. Registered voters can visit www.browardvotes.gov to request a Vote-By-Mail Ballot.


Vote-By-Mail voting will be permitted through the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office, and completed Vote-By-Mail ballots must be received at their office. Please click on the "Vote-By-Mail" button for more information.

The polling places will be open on March 11, 2025 from 7 AM to 7 PM.
